Arcomusical offers premium cabaça cord in 36″ lengths as a replacement part for cabaça bridges. The length is three times the normal recommended length for standard cabaça bridges. This is to allow for extra support to keep the cabaça from slipping down the berimbau due to pressure from the wire. Naná Vasconcelos used shoe lace for this purpose and Arcomusical cabaça cord allows players the same option.
The material used is half natural, half synthetic. This allows for the ends of the cord to be easily melted to avoid fraying.
The superior strength of the Arcomusical cord means many months of worry-free playing. Signs of wear on the cord will begin to appear long before there is any problem with the cord actually breaking. This means that there is almost no chance of the cabaça bridge suddenly breaking during play.
