Arcomusical performs BERIMBATÁ at WNIJ’s Studio A Café

On Tuesday May 7th during the noon hour, Arcomusical’s Jean-Christophe Leroy, Christian Baugher, Jonah Payne and Gregory Beyer bring their new project BERIMBATÁ to WNIJ’s Studio A Café!
BERIMBATÁ represents a unique synthesis of Afro-Cuban sacred drumming and the Afro-Brazilian berimbau musical bow, creatively merging two very different strands of African musical DNA in the new world. BERIMBATÁ is the outgrowth of Jean’s and Greg’s deep affinity for African musics and see themselves as vehicles for the development of new branches on the tree of African art and music as it manifests throughout the Americas.
This special radio broadcast will offer a rare glimpse of two very different and very special African musical instruments and voices, coming together to make a music unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
