Arcomusical brings BERIMBATÁ to the Chilicothe Public Library!

On Saturday afternoon, April 6th, Arcomusical’s Jean-Christophe Leroy, Christian Baugher, Jonah Payne and Gregory Beyer bring their new project BERIMBATÁ to the Chilicothe Public Library!
BERIMBATÁ represents a unique synthesis of Afro-Cuban sacred drumming and the Afro-Brazilian berimbau musical bow, creatively merging two very different strands of African musical DNA in the new world. BERIMBATÁ is the outgrowth of Jean’s and Greg’s deep affinity for African musics and see themselves as vehicles for the development of new branches on the tree of African art and music as it manifests throughout the Americas.
This family friendly show offers hands-on opportunities for all ages as well as a rare glimpse of two very different and very special African musical instruments and voices, coming together to make a music unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. You will walk away stunned by the virtuosity and in love with the sounds of the berimbau musical bow.
