Daniela Oliveira is a percussionist with strong research interest in interdisciplinary musical performance, as well as questions related to technical and interpretive musical development. As a student, she dedicated herself to the study of marimba performance and theatrical percussion works, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. Ms. Oliveira formed percussion trios within the existing Brazilian percussion ensembles such as Grupo PIAP, Grupo de Percussão de UFMG, and Trio Signum. Daniela earned a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance at UFMG and a Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion from the State University of São Paulo.
