Baba Bhemani Magagula

Bhemani Magagula has been involved in making music since he was a young boy. Whether he was organising a local Sibhaca dance group or learning to forge sitolotolo (mouthharps) by hand from his uncles, Magagula has always made music a central part of his life. The whole of Swaziland listens to his makhoyane playing as he brings in the national news bulletins on Swazi radio, and his distinctive voice and makhoyane sound are held up by all as the best in the country. Magagula plays and makes makhoyane and sitolotolo, but also sings and plays infiliji (harmonica) and inkhositina (concertina).
